About Lucretia Torva

Lucretia Torva is an artist/painter based in Phoenix, AZ that paints in oils and acrylics as well as murals.

Torva was born in Peoria, IL and grew up in Scotland and France because her Dad worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. This served as a great foundation for being an artist as Lucretia was able to see and experience some of the greatest art and architecture in the history of Western Art.

Torva is a realist painter, fascinated with surfaces, textures and reflections. She hopes her work inspires viewers to look at the world with greater care and amazement.

Torva received her MFA from the University of Illinois in 1982.
