Cultivating Culture in the Midwest

Art Farm Iowa is the realization of a new vision for the Hanson family farm just north of Northwood, Iowa. It has been developed as a non-profit to establish and promote the arts alongside agriculture in Worth County and beyond. Father and son duo, Steve and Merle Hanson, have partnered on this passion project to create a unique fusion of arts and agriculture.

The Art Farm Iowa team has been revitalizing the 10-acre farmstead site through renovation or removal of existing buildings as well as new construction, landscaping, and art projects. Visitors to the farm will be able to experience a working farm alongside art that has been created by local and world-leading artists.
